WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN A COUNSELLING SESSION?

Sessions are confidential and are 50 minutes long. It is your time to share/explore whatever you wish at your own pace.  I will not provide you with any advice or make decisions for you, but I will be supportive and non-judgmental in the decisions you make.

WHAT BENEFITS CAN I EXPECT FROM WORKING WITH A COUNSELLOR?

Talking to someone you learn to trust can be useful in helping you to understand your feelings more clearly.  The time between appointments can be used to process your thoughts and feelings and will enable you to make decisions and see things from a clearer perspective.

WHAT KIND OF ISSUES AND BE EXPLORED IN THERAPY?

People come to counselling for a variety of reasons. Some people choose counselling to address a major issue in their life and others want to gain awareness about some aspect of themselves that they feel is affecting their everyday lives.  Mostly clients are ordinary people struggling with common day issues.  Nothing is too big or too small to bring to a session.

HOW MANY SESSIONS SHOULD I HAVE?

There is no limit to sessions.  It is completely your choice.  I believe it is down to the individual to choose what is right for them.
